We are a local desert couple who manage our own vacation properties. Each is unique and has been created from our love of the desert and we are very happy to share them with you! All of the vacation rentals are less than 8 minutes to the village of Joshua Tree, 15 minutes from Joshua Tree National Park, 50 miles to Palm Springs, and 130 miles to LA....and all have incredible desert mountain views!

NOAH PURIFOY OUTDOOR MUSEUM http://www.noahpurifoy.com/joshua-tree-outdoor-museum/
It is about 1 mile from our properties and can you can easily walk there if you are up for a stroll in the desert neighborhood of north Joshua Tree. "An installation sculpture park built by the artist made primarily out of scavenged and donated materials." It is free (donation appreciated) and is a complete experience you will not regret.
"PIONEERTOWN was founded by a group of Hollywood investors, including actors Roy Rogers and Gene Autry. Old West 1880s-style false-front facades but interiors that had stuff for visitors to see and do too. Up went (from the outside) frontier stables, saloons, and jails; inside, they housed ice cream parlors, bowling alleys, and motels. More than 50 films and television shows were filmed here in the 1940s and ‘50s. While location shooting and businesses here have dwindled, you can still see mock gunfights on Mane Street" -http://www.visitcalifornia.com/attraction/pioneertown
AMBOY & AMBOY CRATER This is about an hour away, maybe a little more. If you want to experience an old town off rt 66 or you are into craters...this is worth the extra time to check out. AMBOY CRATER is a "250-foot-high crater is approximately 6,000 years old and one of the best examples in the Mojave Desert of a volcanic cinder cone. A footpath leads to the top of the cone where you can get a good view of the surrounding area." I wouldn’t suggest hiking this in the summer months unless you are there at 5am. It is typically about 5-10 warmer than Joshua Tree. http://www.desertusa.com/mnp/mnp_amboy.html
GIANT ROCK is a bit further down the road from the Integratron but worth the trip to see this 7 story rock. "Giant Rock is reputed to be the World’s largest free-standing boulder and was held sacred by the Native Americans of the area. It was a landmark where Northern and Southern tribes met each year. Since those times, Giant Rock has been host to numerous mysteries: German Spies, an explosive death, mysterious tubes leading underground, giant UFO Conventions and more! In early 2000 Giant Rock broke into two pieces. A sign of the millennium or just a campfire that got too hot?"-JTRC https://www.yelp.com/biz/giant-rock-landers

If you are into meeting interesting people, Garth's place is the place to go. Depending on when you visit...you will run into creative people staying on his property helping him add to his creative oasis.
INTEGRATRON 2477 Belfield Blvd, Landers 760-364-3126 Take a sound bath in space built by "George Van Tassel (1910-1978), claimed that the structure is based on the design of Moses’ Tabernacle, the writings of Nikola Tesla and telepathic directions from extraterrestrials. This historical structure is a resonant tabernacle and energy machine sited on a powerful geomagnetic vortex in the magical Mojave Desert." www.integratron.com
LOTS MORE TO COME...still updating!
PAPPY & HARRIETS is located in Pioneertown and they have some killer entertainment. Depending on what you like to eat...their BBQ is pretty good too. It is a great place to get a feel the old west and the desert characters who live here! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND catching a show in the evening or grabbing a bite to eat but be sure to make a reservation. The place gets pretty busy but it is worth the experience! Some amazing people have played there ...Paul McCartney, and Robert Plant have been some many the last minute surprise performers here! http://www.pappyandharriets.com/about/
